Remote Social Media / Marketing Coordinator

Job Description

Our nonprofit Arcadia Animal Rescue is looking for an intern with an outgoing personality; someone who is innovative, clear communicator, active listener, creative, animal advocate, brilliant when working in a team environment with loads of love, animals and care for the field. This is a 6 month unpaid part time-internship with the possibility of a 1 year full experience internship.

Duties include:
- Managing social media with track record of growth and innovation
- Writing reports/stories
- Developing presentations

Proper grammar is essential.
Drafts must reflect good grammar and evidence of copyediting.
Most of our external communications lead with an inspiring quote

Additional Responsibilities:
- Be available to join meetings and conversations to experience Rescue work in action
- Attend team meetings, which happen 1x a month
- Attend a weekly meeting with your direct report—or another colleague
- Manage deadlines
- Assist in content creation, such as contributing content ideas + copywriting, across various platforms (including but not limited to, Instagram, Instagram stories, TikTok, Pinterest, and Youtube)
- Assist at photoshoots in planning, execution, and post-production
- Coordinate social partnerships across Instagram + Tiktok
- Help to identify like-minded brands and coordinate initiatives (partnerships)
- Monitor competitive social landscape, market changes, and developments and remain current on emerging industry and digital trends
- Review relevant press + influencer mentions and pitch to social team for feature
- Assist with monthly post-performance reports
- Support social team in reacting and engaging with other brands, influencers, fans who are posting about amika, engaging with audience across all platforms, responding to user DMs and comments focused on brand building
