Job Description

Summary: The Decision Analyst will play an instrumental role for BMS, as they will be responsible for applying advanced statistical analysis and optimization techniques to support data-driven decision-making processes. The Decision Analyst will develop and implement descriptive/explanatory models, decision support models, segmentation strategies, portfolio analyses, test/experimental designs, and create well-structured content to provide actionable insights and recommendations that enhance business performance and drive growth in the region. Roles & Responsibilities Review Omnichannel strategy and highlight concerns in performance and provide actionable insights to stakeholders Review and provide input around measurement frameworks, KPI definitions to define reach, engagement and quality engagement Guide KPI goals to monitor business performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather/analyze data and define problem statements Develop, oversee, and implement advanced statistical models (regression modeling, ANCOVA, econometric modeling, Bayesian, Ridge/ Lasso etc.) and optimization techniques to solve complex business problems and support decision making Connect multiple data sources appropriately, QC and uncover trends in the data to develop appropriate measurement framework Guide and implement test designs to evaluate effectiveness of marketing campaigns, content strategies or other business initiatives. Communicate complex analytical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear and compelling visualizations, reports and presentations and provides actionable recommendations for the business Skills and competencies: Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of statistical analysis, optimization techniques and decision support models Strong understanding of experimental design, hypothesis testing and A/B testing methodologies. Strong understanding of digital/non-personal tactics like website, paid search, social media, third party etc. Strong business acumen and communication skills to translate complex analyses into what it means for the business in an articulate insights and recommendations style Meticulous attention to detail with a questioning mindset to ensure accuracy and reliability of analysis Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Passion for continuous learning and improvement with a keen interest in exploring new and innovative ways to enhance the quality and impact of analyses Experience: We welcome a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research or a related discipline. Proven experience (ideally 3-5 years) in a decision analysis, statistical modeling, or optimization role, preferably within the biopharma or pharmaceutical industry Experience working with large datasets, statistical software packages (e.g. R, SAS, Python), and data visualization tools (e.g. like Rshiny, Dash, Tableau etc.) Familiarity with the biopharma industry, including market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and healthcare data sources Experience interacting with commercial leaders, understanding, anticipating, and fulfilling their insight/analytical information requirements
