Job Description
This position serves in a developmental trainee capacity. The incumbent will receive extensive on-the-job training in a variety of routine tasks that will provide experience and technical competence in the methods, procedures, principles, theories and techniques utilized in the performance of various loan program functions under the direction of RD management. This is NOT a remote/virtual position. You will be required to report to the office (i.e. Abilene, Edinburg, Lufkin, or Temple, TX).

Job Requirements
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. For the GS-03 grade level: Applicants must have completed 1 full academic year of post-high school study. For the GS-04 grade level: Applicants must have completed 2 full academic years of post-high school study. For the GS-05 grade level: Applicants must have completed 4 full years years of post-high school study leading to a bachelor's degree or equivalent. At the undergraduate level, successfully completed education that has not led to possession of a degree is credited based on its relationship to 120 semester hours or 180 quarter hours. For example, 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours is comparable to 1 year of undergraduate education. NOTE: To be considered for this position, you must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements for the GS-1199 series set forth in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards by the closing date of the announcement. Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- finance, business administration, economics, accounting, insurance, engineering, mathematics, banking and credit, law, real estate operations, statistics, or other fields related to the position, such as agriculture, agricultural economics, farm, livestock or ranch management, or rural sociology.
