Will collaborate closely with the current product developer and development manager within the MRTW development team, to follow the development of the prototypes from the sketches to the handover to the production department. He/She is in daily contact with the manufacturers for the follow-up of the developments, the respect of the schedule and budgets, while guaranteeing the style and quality objectives defined beforehand.

He/She may be assisted by some intern at some point.

The product developer will report to the Head of MRTW.

As such his/her main missions will be to:

Participate in Briefs between Design and Development teams.

Create launch file for each prototype including sketch / codification in the software system PLM / Comment file / Bom / Purchase Order.

Liaise with Fabric and Trims teams, ensuring the availability of fabric and trims for each development.

Relay information to in house atelier or external manufacturers for pattern development and follow making.

Constantly update on the prototypes’ delivery before each fitting deadline and ensure delivery on time.

Control prototypes quality before any presentation to the designers and anticipate alteration form.

Be able to handle on his manager’s demand a panorama per vendor in case of consequent program.

General requested skills:

Creative and Innovative

Fluent in English, Italian would be a plus.

Sensitive to the world of creativity and fashion

Sensitive to DENIM category would be a plus.

Knowledge on the product: To get the best quality product in terms of finishings and be able to anticipate any quality issue.

Good communication skills: Always communicate about the raw materials with the studio, the atelier and the PD Manager.

Friendly/Team spirit: Fluid communication with Fabric/Trims departments to ease the making process of prototypes

Organization skills with a good knowledge in handling data/Excel package

At ease with the computer system (PLM)
