Carecor is looking for dedicated and compassionate Ultrasound Technologists/Registered Sonographers to join our amazing team The successful candidate will provide care according to the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario, the Standards of Practice of Carecor Health Services, and the healthcare facility where assigned. For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full 8-12hour shift. Pay Rate: $56-$63/hour Note: Independent contractors are individuals who have their own healthcare services business and agree to provide nursing services on behalf of Carecor. The independent contractor is not an employee of Carecor. Job Qualification Our “exemplary standing” with Accreditation Canada is held to the highest regard and is a testament to the fact that we uphold the same hiring standards and patient care delivery as the facilities in which we serve. · Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound Training program · Current member with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) in good standing · Current registration with Sonography Canada · Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital-based Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound setting within the past 5 years · Proficiency in the production and assessment of diagnostic ultrasound images · Strong understanding of vascular anatomy, cross-sectional anatomy, physiology and pathology relevant to ultrasound imaging · Expertise in conducting a wide range of ultrasound examinations including various small and large organs, abdominal, neuro, pelvic, obstetric, and vascular assessments · Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills capable of working independently and as a part of an interdisciplinary team · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to demonstrate compassion, and professionalism in order to provide quality patient-centered care · Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification · Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate · Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, pertussis, polio, hepatitis B · Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one year or negative chest x-ray within the past five years · Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire Please note that based on recent government mandates and directives, healthcare workers are now required to provide proof of full COVID-19 Vaccination.
