Job Description

Hamilton, Ontario MRT Medical Radiation Technologist X-Ray , Wentworth-Halton X-Ray & Ultrasound has immediate opportunities for new graduates and experienced X-Ray Tecnologists. Wentworth Halton X-Ray & Ultrasound is the region’s largest and most comprehensive provider of out-patient diagnostic imaging. We are looking for individuals interested in being part of our team to serve the needs of the patients and their referring physicians in our communities. We have clinics in Stoney Creek, Hamilton, Waterdown, Burlington and Oakville and there may be openings in any of these locations. We are currently seeking a registered X-Ray technologist to work in our Hamilton clinics. This role can be full-time, part-time or a casual relief position. The successful candidates will be motivated, quality driven and possess excellent patient care skills. This position will be in General X-Ray but BMD and/or mammography experience/training or other modality experience is an asset, and such duties will be reflected in an increased wage rate. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced, quality focused clinic with other like-minded staff. Compensation will be based on skill set and experience. There will be hourly premium pay for weekend and evening work. Experienced MRTs will be compensated based on recent relevant experience and added skill sets. Integrated Community Health Services Centres, like Wentworth Halton X-Ray & Ultrasound can be very flexible with respect to staffing and employment. No requirement to work nights. Work on weekends and evenings is voluntary. Work schedules can be very flexible. An individual approach for every employee regarding initial wage rate, professional education opportunities etc. Clinic environments are comfortable and small. Requirements: Graduate of approved training program in Radiography. Current registration and in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO). Wentworth Halton X-Ray & Ultrasound will consider the hiring of new graduates prior to their certification. Must have the knowledge, skills and judgment as identified in the CMRTO "Essential Competencies" to perform the services and procedures that fall within the scope of practice of the profession. Ability to organize work, set priorities, manage time effectively and produce accurate results while working autonomously and as a team player. Minimum Hourly Starting Wage Rate: $35.28 (after probation) Work Schedule: Full-time hours: 30 - 44 per week. Part-time hours 29 - 24 per week. Casual relief minimum: 15 hours per month. Employee Benefits: MRTs will be entitled to annual CMRTO Fee partial subsidization. Full Time staff can participate in Employee Benefit Plan. All entitled staff have access to a matching RRSP plan. Subsidized professional education opportunities. Employee run, employer provided uniform program.
