Job Description

REQUIREMENTS Matric, own vehicle and driver's license essential 2 3 years experience in HSSE compliance with a contractor Registered with SACPCMP as a Candidate Safety Officer - SAMTRAC certificate Good communication skills. (verbal and written) Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word & Excel) Strong on admin and organisation skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work under pressure and time management skills. Ability to work in fast paced environment Adherent to safety culture. Clear criminal record. Sober habits. Strong focus and aptitude on administrative and documentary requirements. Computer literacy (proficiency) is essential. DUTIES Maintain company HSSE accreditations for all customers Upload document updates to online compliance platforms keeping them updated and ensure document updates are distributed throughout the organisation. Maintain the HSSE system in full compliance for audit purposes, Identifying and correcting gaps identified. Update company HSSE technical information for the compliance opf safety files for audit and compliance Ensure duties delegated are properly delegated through structured appointments and that the duties are understood by the appointees and that appointment letters are maintained and up to date. Ensure onsite HSSE compliance is maintained to mitigate against work stoppages by updating safety files and regular site audits and gap assessments and closing out gaps identified. Monitor and manage training and development - Oversee and direct the compliance administrator to ensure that the training courses of employees and in line with consistent adherence to HSE and client requirements Create the HSSE awareness information weekly based on client updates, industry activities and learnings from audits and incidents, Distribute the HSE awareness information weekly and ensure that you received acknowledgement/ proof of communication from all technicians in field as well as from the three branches. Oversee the PPE management and assist the compliance administrator to ensure that the procurement and distribution of PPE is managed company wide. HSSE essential equipment management. Ensure that this equipment is checked on a regular basis, that records reflect such checks and that where equipment is required to be repaired/replaced or calibrated/ serviced that these activities are carried out. Establish risk management for all infield work and workshop activities to ensure that all HSE risks are identified, communicated and a safe system of works procedures established, including the management of high risk activities. Emergency management to be executed and managed throughout the organisation. Environmental and waste management plans to be established and managed throughout the organisation. Incident investigation management for all HSSE related incidents to be investigated, analysed and the learnings distributed and communicated. Report all areas on non-conformances in the HSSE space identified through internal process audits, investigations and site inspections. Maintain and report all HSSE KPIs which include but not limited to man-hours, near-miss reporting, completion of DSTIs, completion of infield audits/ documentation is sufficiently completed and submitted as required. Plan and implement quarterly HSSE meetings for field staff - Record and distribute minutes. Schedule internal audits quarterly, conduct Infield HSSE and safety file audits at scheduled intervals Attend Client training and contractor meetings.
