Security Manager

Key Responsibilities: Maintaining good relations internal, external and with 3rd party contractor employees Ensuring the rendering of security service deliver in line with SOPs Ensuring compliance and that all security officers meet contractual requirements as stipulated by the organization Identification and mitigation of risks Constantly evaluating the service levels provided and making recommendations to the client regarding the improvement of services General management and supervision of security staff and operations, including rosters and posting of staff. Ensuring that all HR related queries are dealt with promptly Investigating incidents and investigations Attend meetings internal, external and with 3rd party contractor employees Compile weekly, monthly and annual site incident reports Control budget for security operations and monitor expenses Stores, stock and asset audits to verify stock and minimise theft Security service providers invoicing verification Rental machine hours verification Security infrastructure review and maintenance. Fulfil security operational expectations Minimum requirements: National diploma in security management will be an advantage Grade 12 5 years experience in a similar position in mining SAPS/Military experience an advantage Must be familiar with all legislation relating to the position Have investigating experience Firearm Police competency Handgun/Shotgun Firearm training Handgun & Shotgun Business Purpose Familiar with MHSA and the control thereof Working knowledge of MS Office Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures Good interpersonal skills in order to liaise with client, community, SAPS and outside stakeholders Experience in crowd/strike control be an advantage PSIRA B grade or higher Up to date PSIRA affiliating
