NATIONAL RISK & SECURITY MANAGER (MANUFACTURING) Market related package with benefits Epping, Cape Town The National Risk & Security Manager will be a vital member of the senior executive team within a reputable manufacturing company, overseeing operations across processing facilities and branches in Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Pretoria. Reporting directly to the company directors, we seek candidates currently holding senior or executive positions, with demonstrated expertise in managing risk and security at a national or group level. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Theft and fraud are prevented and/or halted where they may occur, no matter how small or large. The Group adopts best practice with regards to security procedures and protocols, which must be implemented, optimised and followed. Risks are ascertained via a proper and regular auditing process, and that risk management is implemented. All incident investigations are completed in a proper fashion. The security department reacts and participates quickly to incidents and ensures that any impact is minimised. The Group stays abreast of new technologies to address and mitigate risk. Security-related expenses are managed, controlled and monitored. The Group liaises with SAPS and other 3rd party security companies where required. Security forums, briefings and awareness sessions are organised to inform line management, employees, clients and stakeholders about security. Monthly and other reports are sent. All administrative processes are handled. The above requires managing and leading a significantly large team of inspectors, supervisors, security officers, administrators and others. The above requires liaising with the management and staff of the wider Group to ensure compliance and to ensure that all security practices tie into the Groups wider operations. REQUIREMENTS: Tertiary qualification in security management or equivalent. PSIRA registered Grade A is compulsory. At least 8 years of senior managerial experience (we prefer management experience at a National or Group level). Previous experience in a manufacturing/ production/logistics/industrial environment will be ideal. Risk identification & analysis background. CCTV monitoring experience. Knowledge of the Criminal Procedure Act and other relevant legislation. Knowledge of OHSA. Fluent in English and preferably Afrikaans. Experience in investigations and report writing. No criminal record ABILITIES & TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Leadership experience and attributes are a must. Committed, hardworking and self-motivated. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work under challenging conditions. Sound communication skills (understand, read and write English and preferably Afrikaans). Must be prepared to work overtime when required.
