Engineering Manager - System Design & Architecture

Responsibilities : - Lead a team of backend engineers in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable backend systems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions. - Drive the technical roadmap, making strategic decisions to ensure alignment with business objectives and scalability. - Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. - Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions. - Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in backend development. Requirements : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from Tier-I Colleges. - 6-8 years of hands-on experience in backend engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role. - Proven expertise in Java and web technologies (e. g. , Spring Boot, Hibernate, RESTful APIs). - Strong understanding of distributed system architecture, microservices, and cloud platforms (e. g. , AWS, Azure, GCP). - Previous experience in a product startup environment is highly desirable. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. - Passion for building scalable, high-performance systems and solving complex technical challenges. - Familiarity with FinTech concepts and regulations is a plus.
