Octro - DevOps Engineer - System Administration

Job Description : We are looking for individuals who want to make a career in the Devops/System Admin field. This individual will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems and related software's. - This individual will be also responsible for automation and monitoring of services. - This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. - This individual ensures that operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners. - Responsible for Installing and updating new / rebuild existing servers, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements. - Repair and recover from software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies. Perform periodic performance checks to support capacity planning. - Perform ongoing performance tuning and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required. This position is only for Devops enthusiast. Pls do not apply if you want to make a career in Development/Testing/Data Analysis. Mandatory Skills Requirements : - Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science - Git, Nginx, Jenkins, AWS, SQL & NoSQL databases, caching, networking. - Scripting and distributed programming language such as Python, PHP, Bash, NodeJS Preferred Skills Requirements : - Technical knowledge of data services like Hadoop and Kafka. - Prior experience of communicating with on the premise data center team. - Good communication skills (ref:hirist.tech)
