The position: Our client is seeking a Junior Clinical Assistant PMB (Prescribed Minimum Benefits) to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of Prescribed Minimum Benefit (PMB) and Chronic Disease List (CDL) treatment plan authorisations, as well as the preparation, referral, and finalization of PMB applications for members both in and out of the hospital setting. Functions: Administer PMB and CDL treatment plan authorizations. Prepare, refer, and finalise PMB applications for members, including those in hospital. Ensure accurate and efficient administration of PMB processes. Collaborate with healthcare providers and internal teams to facilitate PMB authorisations. Maintain detailed records and documentation related to PMB applications and authorisations. Adhere to regulatory requirements and organisational policies related to PMB administration. Assist with other administrative tasks as required. Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Office, Outlook, and Internet. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent negotiation skills. Bilingual in English and Afrikaans with strong interpersonal communication. Team player with a caring attitude. Flexible in adapting to changes and management decisions. Proficient in problem-solving techniques and record keeping. Leadership skills and ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships. Requirements: Grade 12 qualification. Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant or Enrolled Nurse certification. Minimum of 4 years of experience in PMB administration. Strong understanding of PMB and CDL treatment plan authorization processes. Excellent administration and time management skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Remuneration: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
