As a Asset Manager you'll play a crucial role in helping clients build and preserve wealth over the long term through prudent investment management and risk mitigation strategies.  What you’ll do: Enhanced Management of IT Asset Lifecycle: Holistic Management: Proficiently oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from inception to disposal, in close collaboration with both IT and non-IT stakeholders. Strategic Resource Allocation: Allocate resources judiciously, considering the financial and corporate significance of IT assets, ensuring optimal utilization and adherence to high-quality standards. Reliable Information Management: Ensure that information pertaining to IT assets and associated entities (e.g., contracts, vendors) is dependable, accurate, comprehensive, and readily accessible as and when required. Facilitate Service Provider involvement in addressing audit findings by Service Consumers. Comprehensive Asset Visibility: Maintain comprehensive visibility of IT assets, encompassing owned, leased, and rented assets, ensuring awareness of their status concerning theft, damage (both virus-related and material degradation), and loss. Contractual Considerations: Pay meticulous attention to contractual obligations, including those related to software, cloud services, and maintenance agreements. Financial Traceability and Optimization: Establish traceability of IT expenditures, enabling thorough ROI assessments and value-for-money optimization. Ensure compliance with contracts, including software licensing agreements, as well as with relevant regulations (e.g., finance, tax, electronic waste). Adherence to Organizational Policies: Ensure alignment with organizational policies across various domains such as security, human resources, architecture, and sourcing. Proactive Response: Maintain vigilance and proactively respond to industry trends and best practices, as well as vendor-specific developments, including audits and cloud migration initiatives, ensuring timely and well-informed decision-making. Your expertise: Prior experience working as an asset manager or in a similar role Organisational and communication skills Qualifications required: Grade 12 ITIL Foundation 4 and ITIL Intermediate Soft Skills Applicable Tertiary Qualification Other information applicable to the opportunity: Contract Position (12 Months) Location: Randburg Work Environment: Onsite (open plan office) / Work from home Travel: Own vehicle essential Why work for us?
