The primary purpose of this position is to develop broad gauged individuals who can deal effectively with change and complexity within the Air Force as it relates to their career field. As well as duties in the General Cyberspace & IT career field and to complete developmental assignments and training outlined in the formal training and developmental plan.

Job Requirements

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Professional and Scientific Positions BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT: This standard allows eligibility through meeting either the requirements specified in the section titled Education or the requirements specified in the section titled Experience. Education: All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of a wide range of IT concepts, principles, techniques, requirements, methods and practices to carry out standardized and conventional IT specialist assignments. 2. Knowledge of the principles, policies, and practices of acquisition and program management to participate in the planning, organizing and management of software and hardware systems acquisition. 3. Knowledge to develop and maintain IT systems which support the operation, planning, management, analysis and decision making functions of the customer. 4. Analytical and evaluative skills to integrate systems of information technology programs and/or equipment to meet customer or project requirements. 5. Oral and written communication skills for effective working relationships, interaction with customers, and presentation of findings and proposals to senior officials.
