Job Description

This position is located in the U.S. International Trade Commission, Office of Investigations. There is the possibility of extension through the school year, and/or for an additional year based on workload requirements and budget availability.

Job Requirements

All pathway qualifications and educational requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and clearly documented in your resume. To be eligible for basic consideration, all Pathways Interns must: Be enrolled, or accepted for enrollment, on at least a half-time basis, at a qualifying educational institution Be seeking a diploma, degree, or certificate· Be in good academic standing and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 You must meet all the requirements below by the closing date of the announcement and they must be clearly identified in your application, resume, or supporting documents. This includes any general and specialized experience, education, and/or selective placement factors mentioned. These are used to determine if you possess the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities to successfully perform in this position. Applicants applying for the GS-07 grade level must have completed 1 full academic year of graduate level education; or Eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement* Provision and completion of a bachelor's degree, AND must be currently enrolled or accepted to a qualifying degree or certificate program. *Superior Academic Achievement for GS-07 eligibility option: (Bachelor's degree) - In the upper one-third of graduating class; OR a GPA of 3.0 or higher out of 4.0, as recorded on official transcript, or based on courses completed during final 2 years of curriculum; OR a GPA of 3.5 or higher out of 4.0, based on average of required courses completed in major or required courses in major completed during the final 2 years of curriculum. To qualify at the GS-7 level, you must meet one of the following requirements: 1 full academic year of graduate level education; or a Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement, in the upper one-third of your graduating class; or have a GPA of 3.0 or higher out of 4.0 as recorded on your official transcript, or based on courses completed during your final 2 years; OR one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. Work experience must show attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, problem solving skills and abilities, gathering data required for reporting purposes, prepares spreadsheets, memoranda, and reports; gather information, and performing and administrative management functions relating to office operations.
