As the company continues to grow, we are looking for a Development & Intellectual Property Engineer with experience in industrial patents to strengthen our team in charge of Intellectual Property. The position is based in Estrees-Saint-Denis in France.

Localisation: Estrées Saint Denis (15 minutes from Compiègne)

Your missions:

• To manage development projects for foamed polymers from concept to production and to improve existing materials.
• To carry out a patent monitoring in order to anticipate trends in the field as well as possible threats and opportunities.
• To develop JSP's know-how in terms of foamed polymers materials science and associated technologies.
• To conduct trials, product evaluations, and be part of production optimisation.
• To second the EMEA Intellectual Property manager with the patent portfolio strategy and applications.

To be successful in the role you will have:

• Excellent proficiency in English. German-speaking candidates will be favoured.
• A genuine interest in science and in understanding the phenomena associated with polymers.
• A strong educational background in the polymer science or chemistry and their processing (extrusion, injection, foaming, etc.).
• Existing knowledge in the field of industrial patents coupled with a strong willingness to develop and apply these from both a technical and legal point of view.
• Scientific rigour and a good critical sense coupled with a creative mind and a good capacity for innovation.
• Good communication skills enabling you to interact effectively with different teams.
• An international mind, open to travel in Europe.
