Job Description

Candidates selected for the Loan Review Analyst position will be assigned to an FDIC Field Office in theDivision of Risk Management Supervision (RMS)and participate in formal classroom training, self-study, and work assignments located in and outside of the employee's official duty station in the area of loan review analysis. Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Experience:Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the grade 5 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience assessing and applying credit standards and practices relative to the financial services industry and performing financial analysis.-OR- 2. Education:One full year of graduate level education with major study in finance, business administration, economics, accounting, insurance, engineering, mathematics, banking and credit, law, real estate operations, statistics, or other fields related to the position.-OR- 3. Superior Academic Achievement:Superior academic achievement must have been gained in a major field of undergraduate study: finance, business administration, economics, accounting, insurance, engineering, mathematics, banking and credit, law, real estate operations, statistics, or other fields related to the position. Applicants qualifying under S.A.A. must have completed (or expect to complete within 9 months from the closing date of the announcement) all the requirements for a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. S.A.A. is based on (1)class standing, (2)grade-point average, or (3)honor society membership. Class standing-- Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses. Grade-point average (G.P.A.)-- Applicants must have a grade-point average of: 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better)as recorded on their official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B+" or better)based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum. Grade-point averages are to be rounded to one decimal place. For example, 2.95 will round to 3.0 and 2.94 will round to 2.9.
