****COVID-19 NOTICE****
Due to the Pandemic, NAPW is at present a completely remote workforce. This position is normally in-office. If the successful candidate is hired while the staff is still remote, we will work with that candidate to ensure that they have the tools, supplies, and digital on-boarding to be successfully integrated into our remote work environment.

NAPW seeks a talented and highly motivated intern to assist in NAPW’s finance and operations business function. The CUNY Finance & Operations Internship is designed specifically for individuals enrolled in a CUNY school and will offer the individual an opportunity to learn about non-profit management while also gaining broad knowledge about the organization and the framework of reproductive justice. The internship is for individuals who are not in law school and is suitable for undergraduate or graduate students.

[*NOTE: Commitment for 2 consecutive semesters is highly desirable, as this would provide more time for the intern to get more exposure to the programmatic work in addition to the time spent on daily finance and operations tasks/projects].

Interns bring a wide variety of skills and interests. The CUNY Finance & Operations Intern reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). S/He can expect to spend approximately 80% of their time supporting NAPW staff on administrative activities related to finance, accounting, fundraising, development, event planning, and systems development and 20% of their time on substantive content work which may include learning, reading, and participating in public education and organizing efforts that support NAPW’s mission.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Providing administrative support as directed for the CFO and rest of Finance team;
