Job Description

Join us! Visit.org is looking for a passionate, self-motivated marketing intern to join our team in New York City. If you’re an ambitious individual who wants to build a career in social media and content marketing, then we want to work with you!

Visit.org is a technology platform for employee-driven corporate social responsibility (CSR). We help companies discover & book hundreds of carefully curated social impact team experiences led by and benefitting local social ventures, and provide analytics to match these with employees' individual interests. We’re a startup, so the right candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, enthusiasm for our mission, and the desire to roll up your sleeves and make the impossible happen.

Role and responsibilities:
- Design, present and implement new marketing and social media campaign ideas
- Support research, production, and promotion of the Visit.org podcast
- Monitor social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback
- Help with the planning and hosting of marketing events
- Research and evaluate competitor marketing and digital content
- Contribute to the creation of mock-ups, email campaigns, and social media content
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions to come up with new and innovative strategies and ideas

What do we offer?
This internship is unpaid. We highly encourage students who can receive academic credit to apply. You will gain experience in writing web content, SEO, and the operations of a startup while making a positive impact on communities around the world. We are based in a co-working space in Tribeca.

Timeline & Commitment:
Start ASAP, 2-3 days a week

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in marketing, communications, or a related field
- Knowledge of marketing techniques and social media platforms
- Experience with copywriting, editing, and blogging
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member
- Experience with SEO and copyediting is a plus
- Desire to gain experience in a fast-paced startup environment, wearing different hats as needed
- Self-starter who can take direction and contribute ideas
- Passionate about social good and empowering local communities
