Robotics Engineer Intern
(Software + Hardware Experience Required)

A Silicon Valley startup looking for interns to help speed up the development of software and hardware prototypes that integrates the latest Neural Network technologies with autonomous robotics. The lucky few will collaborate with co-founders, Silicon Valley veterans, and other interns to advance their learning while directly influencing the course of future technology. You will be exposed to state-of-the-art research across multiple fields, including machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, reinforcement learning, path planning, and human-computer interaction.

What you will do
Explore the research frontiers in applying state of the art deep learning and AI methods within computer vision
Build rapid research experiments and proofs-of-concept to demonstrate the feasibility of a goal
Architect and implement deep learning models for image and video processing
Optimize Neural Nets to achieve target goals
Potentially participate in the development of patent applications

Job Requirements

Pursuing Computer Science or equivalent Masters or Ph.D. degree (experience undergrad could be considered)
Experience building robotics projects on top of NVIDIA TX2, Raspberry Pi, Arduino or similar
Proficient with the following languages Python or C++
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving abilities
Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
A strong team player that values collaboration
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and deliver high-quality results

Additional Qualifications
Experience working with Robot OS (ROS)
Exposure to Drone Autopilot, eg. PixHawk, PixFalcon, or similar
Exposure to Gazebo, OpenAI Gym or similar
Exposure to TensorFlow, Caffe, or PyTorch
Experience with 3D modeling and printing
