Job Description

The Advisors Asset Management Financial and Management Accounting role supports the Strategic Partnership Group (SPG) and assists with completing regular and ad hoc deliverables to AAM’s Strategic Partners. The Analyst will assist in completing both short-term and long-term projects integral to the growth of our client relationships. The Analyst must achieve and maintain expert knowledge of AAM’s product line and the Wealth Management Industry. Successful candidates will possess strong Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.

Advisors Asset Management currently has an opening for a Finance Intern. As an Intern, you will support the financial and management accounting teams as we serve the business needs of internal and external customers. Through participation you will learn the fundamentals of accounting disciplines in a business environment. This experience will expose you to multiple facets of our departmental activities and you will be introduced to complex financial and business concepts. Finally, you will learn to work within a high-performance team in a professional environment with interactive exposure with middle and senior management.

Responsibility:
- Learn about the company, our industry and be part of an active and collaborative business environment.

- Participate in the monthly close process for the Mid-Atlantic Business Unit product lines (cement, ready-mix, fly ash, and/or construction aggregates).

- Participate in the Financial Reporting team’s regular reporting responsibilities to the Parent’s finance function and Titan America management.

- Attend, when possible, regular product line team meetings to understand key initiatives, and business issues.

- Assist with technical IFRS research.

- Assist with preparation and review of monthly management reporting package including product line financial statements (income statement and balance sheet).

- Assist in updating and analyzing product line Key Performance Indicators.

- Understand the Titan America process, play an active role in the process and be ready to propose potential areas of improvement.

Job Requirements

- Be enrolled in a Finance, Economics and Accounting program that supports the company’s business requirements.

- Have a minimum GPA of 2.8 or higher (transcripts will be required).

- Can work a minimum of 20 hours a week, up to 40 hours per week.
