Concrete Finisher (CDL Preferred)

Job Description Job Description Position Title: Concrete Finisher Reports To: Project Manager Department: Hard Surface Restoration FLSA: Non-Exempt Location: Detroit, MI Job Summary: Metro Asphalt & Concrete, LLC., ("MAC") is looking for Concrete Finishers to join our team! The Concrete Finisher would be responsible for setting grade and form concrete on sidewalks, drives, curbs, ADA ramps, and roadways. Finishers with knowledge of ADA requirements and local municipal codes are preferred but not required. KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES · Manual labor of forming, pouring, finishing, and stripping of concrete · Operate hand-tools or power tools as needed · Assist crew members with other tasks as needed · Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with all safety procedures, rules, and regulations REQUIREMENTS: · Three years of experience preferred, but not required. · Satisfactory driving record (MVR check will be conducted prior to hire) · Ability to lift 50 pounds, squat and stand for long periods of time · Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug screens in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations · Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening · Ability to be a team player · Willing to work overtime and weekends, and work in all weather conditions COMPENSATION: · Compensation ranges between $20 to $29 per hour, depending on experience · Finishers with a valid CDL-A License will receive an additional $1.00 per hour · Medical benefits package that includes medical and dental for employees and their qualifying family members (eligible after 90 days full-time employment) · Retirement benefits including a 401(k) plan with up to 4% employer match (eligible after 6 months of employment).
