Special Olympics Swim Coaches

Job Description Job Description Special Olympics Swim Coaches are responsible for all aspects of practices and competitions for Special Olympic Swimming events. Schedules coaches for practices and competitions throughout the state. Ensures that all medical forms are current and on hand at all events. Drives Board-owned van to transport athletes. Oversees entire program and provides coverage for other coaches who may be absent. Works with program volunteers. Coordinates practices, and secures facilities for practices and games. Prepares and distributes needed information to participants and caregivers, and sends copies to the Special Olympic Coordinator. Plans for state competitions - including attending meetings as requested by the Special Olympics Coordinator. Team player, prior coaching experience with a swim team, organizational abilities, planning and follow through a must. Valid Ohio driver's license and excellent driving record. Benefits: Stipend Positions include: Coach (A): $1,200 Stipend Assistant Coach (B, C, D): $1,000 Stipend
