Our electrodes drastically lower the cost of green hydrogen production – and setting new industry benchmarks. We’re producing, we’re selling, and are now recruiting our core Lyon team to scale operations and deliver impact. As Operations Manager, you will be the operational right hand of the CEO. You will coordinate and execute day-to-day operations - from production and logistics to supplier management and experimental support - and play a key role in scaling our industrial capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Industrial Operations Management Plan, organize, and oversee production activities, including multi-day hands-on interventions at partner sites or subcontractors. Manage logistics end-to-end: procurement, inventory, packing, shipment, coordination of raw materials and finished goods. Ensure operations are delivered on time, on budget, and to the required quality standards. Contribute to continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and operational performance. Supplier & Contractor Management Identify, qualify, and coordinate industrial and logistics subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Manage procurement activities: quote requests, purchase orders, delivery follow-up, and payments. Ensure quality, compliance, and reliability of external services. Build long-term, trust-based relationships across the supply chain. Technical & Experimental Support Work in close collaboration with our Senior Electrochemist / Lab Manager. Participate in experimental activities: assembly and operation of test benches, electrode and chemical bath testing, material characterization, and result tracking. Support laboratory maintenance, safety, and organization. Contribute ideas to improve protocols, equipment, and experimental workflows. Logistics & Administrative Tracking Oversee internal and external logistics operations. Manage administrative follow-up for purchases and expenses (excluding accounting). Maintain supplier records, contracts, and technical documentation. Ensure rigorous traceability of operations, materials, and documentation. Coordination with the Ecosystem Act as the operational point of contact with ecosystem partners including Axel’One, Tenerrdis, competitiveness clusters, incubators, and technical collaborators. Support the implementation of technical collaborations and facilitate information flow with partners Requirements: At Adele Hydrogen, cultural fit is as important as technical expertise. Background & Experience Engineering degree (generalist or specialized in energy, chemistry, materials science, electrochemistry, or related fields). 4–8 years of experience in an industrial, technological, or applied R&D environment, with proven experience in production management or operational planning. Hands-on laboratory experience (internship or early career) in chemistry, materials science, electrochemistry, or process engineering is appreciated. Driver’s license and availability for multi-days missions at supplier’s sites. Technical Skills Strong capabilities in technical project management, operational planning, and industrial flow management. Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment design, quality control, and continuous improvement. Comfortable with office tools and ideally familiar with CAD/CAE software, project-tracking tools, or ERP systems. Fluent in English and French; German is a plus.
