Surg Tech III - Operating Room

Our cross-trained surgical staff supports a broad range of services including orthopedics, general surgery, ophthalmology, ENT, robotic-assisted procedures, bariatrics, gynecology, podiatry, and endoscopy. The OR team is composed of RNs, surgical technologists, CSFAs, and procedure support technicians, with staffing aligned to AORN standards to ensure high-quality, safe, and efficient care. Operating Room Full Time Days Responsibilities: Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties, performing technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines. Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource. Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department. Qualifications: Education H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program Required Work Experience 3 years Surgical Tech Certification and of experience . In lieu of Surgical Tech certification, of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of Surgical Tech experience Required Licenses and Certifications Current GA LPN License if applicable Required Additional Licenses and Certifications Certification as a Surgical Technologist or Licensed as an LPN Required BLS certification Required Business Unit : Name: Piedmont Walton Hospital
