Job Purpose As the Sr Director, European Business Unit Security , your role is to report into a VP of EU BU (EASS / ES / Mav / Datech). The Director Europe BU is ultimately responsible for the (business) development and successful execution of the aggregate multi‑year European Operations Plan for the specific focus area (Vendor, Customer, Portfolio), establishing and maintaining winning relationships with the vendor and key reseller customers and directing local country leads in the execution of their applicable strategy. What You’ll Do Developing and executing the AOP, value propositions, and tactical quarterly plans. Maintaining the main partnerships (Vendor and Customers) to enable the plan. Identifying, evaluating and helping to close possible acquisitions to accelerate the plan. Ownership of the execution of European sub‑operations plan, achieving quarterly and annual business objectives. Drive the building of programs and campaigns that can be executed across multiple countries. Engage with Country Management exec teams in quarterly reviews and planning sessions. Present at public events to audiences of different levels and capabilities and be a visible thought leader of the applicable focus in the IT channel. What We’re Looking For 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience in the IT sector, ideally within a Vendor, Distributor or Partner environment, with proven exposure to European markets. Excellent command of English, both spoken and written. Additional European languages are a plus. Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or a related field required; Master’s or MBA preferred. 5 to 8 years of experience directly managing or supervising employees. Strong leadership skills, with a proactive, innovative, and results‑oriented mindset. Ability to communicate clearly and convey information effectively across different levels of management and in multicultural environments. Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to drive tasks to completion and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining a collaborative approach. Strong interpersonal and multicultural skills, able to build and maintain effective relationships. Able to negotiate skillfully, promote ideas persuasively, and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Able to construct and deliver formal presentations. Strong analytical and attention‑to‑detail skills, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Proficiency in relevant computer systems and tools at an advanced level, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies. Ability to work effectively under pressure, managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Upholds social, ethical, and organizational standards in all professional interactions. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information. Able to be sensitive to the needs, concerns, and perspectives of others.
