Graduate Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive SEN school in Central London . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a real difference in the classroom. You will support teachers in delivering engaging lessons, provide one-to-one or small-group support, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Support class teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and activities. Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning. Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or English as an Additional Language (EAL) . Prepare learning materials and assist with classroom organisation. Promote positive behaviour and help pupils develop confidence and independence. Supervise pupils during lessons, transitions, and breaks when required. Contribute to the wider school life, including clubs, trips, and enrichment activities. Person Specification Essential: Experience working or volunteering with children or young people. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude. Reliable, proactive, and able to work well in a team. A genuine interest in supporting children’s education and development. Desirable: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). Experience supporting pupils with SEN or EAL. GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths. Interest in progressing towards a career in teaching or education. Why Join Us? Supportive and friendly school community in London .
