Job Summary*Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 7,500 students across its graduate and undergraduate programs.* Located in a charming rural setting in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, the University is just a 20-minute drive from the metropolitan areas of Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and about an hour from the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The University seeks to hire employees with experience working with diverse populations. The Department of Art & Design at Kutztown University invites applications for temporary full and/or part-time positions for Spring 2026 in Photography. Courses requiring coverage include (but are not limited to): undergraduate courses in photography, including Intro to Digital Photo, Intro to Darkroom Photo, and upper-level Photo Studio. We seek applicants committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive community of faculty, staff, and students in the Department of Art & Design and across the university. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly growth and professional development; and service. Courses are taught face-to-face for Spring 2026. Minimum Qualifications - Earned Master's degree (MFA or MA) in Photography, Art, or related discipline required at time of application - Strong professional portfolio of personal artwork - Strong professional portfolio of student artwork - College-level teaching experience of at least one year or equivalent in related coursework to be taught - Experience managing darkroom and/or digital facilities - For introductory digital photo and upper-level studio classes, proficiency in related digital software (including but not limited to Photoshop and Lightroom) is required. Preferred QualificationsExperience managing darkroom and digital facilities.
