Job Description
We are currently hiring for a CNC Lathe Operator, a full-time role offering competitive wages, a comprehensive benefits package, and excellent potential for career growth. The ideal candidate is responsible to produce machined parts for Schulte machines and equipment by setting up and operating a computer numerical control machine, in compliance with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System. This role is also responsible for maintaining equipment and follow all safety standards. This position requires relocation to the Englefeld/Humboldt or nearby area. Strong health and safety culture Comprehensive benefits (Health spending & wellness accounts) Group registered company pension plan Safety boot allowance Prescription glasses allowance Bonus programs such as quarterly incentive bonus, safety bonus, gift cards and more Service awards Employee assistance program (EAP) Educational / training opportunities & scholarships for dependent children A safe, supportive work environment with room to grow Responsibilities Program and operate CNC lathe on a daily basis Operate manual lathe as needed Follow through on First Part Checked procedure Maintain a clean and organized work area Maintain schedule and deadline requirements Take instruction and work load assignments from Supervisors Gather and transport raw material to designated areas Safety inspections of hoists, forklifts and machinery Responsible for preventative maintenance on CNC Perform minor repairs on CNC lathe as needed Operating forklift Enter work orders in JD Edwards Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s): Ability to read shop drawings Ability to follow safe operating procedures Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with little or no supervision Skills needed to identify substandard workmanship in fabrication Ability to get along well with others Good communication skills Knowledge of small hands tools, impacts and air tools Basic computer skills; knowledge of JD Edwards an asset Basic math skills Ability to read all measuring devices (caliper, etc.) Qualifications High school graduate Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating CNC lathes Forklift experience Ability to lift or carry alone or with assistance up to 50 lbs.
