Senior Cyber Security Advisory Analyst NSW Department of Customer Service Pay Range Base salary A$129,464 /yr – A$142,665 /yr (DCS clerk grade 9/10) plus superannuation and annual leave loading. About the Role Cyber Security NSW seeks two Senior Cyber Security Advisory Analysts for the Office of the NSW Chief Cyber Security Officer. The role supports the delivery of a portfolio of strategic initiatives, advancing cyber security resilience across NSW government. Key Accountabilities Develop and lead projects to continuously improve NSW Government cyber security posture. Develop reports, perform analysis, and provide advice to uplift cyber security risk management, assurance, investment prioritisation, and governance. Conduct research on best practices, keeping up‑to‑date with trends and issues in IT and cyber security risks and solutions. Support project development, implementation, management, and closure across a portfolio of complex projects to achieve outcomes on time, on budget, and to quality standards. Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring engagement and consultation to meet deliverables. Prioritise workload to meet agreed outcomes and timeframes, ensuring prompt issue resolution. Provide expert advice on emerging project issues and present recommendations to support delivery within established plans and budgets. Lead delivery of best‑practice policies and procedures that uplift All of Government cyber security. About Cyber Security NSW Branch Cyber Security NSW is a whole‑of‑government function within Digital NSW. Responsibilities include: Create an integrated approach to managing cyber risk and responding to threats. Increase cyber skills and awareness. Understand risks from cyber threats to digital information and systems. Set cyber security standards. Ensure preparedness for damaging cyber incidents. About You Demonstrated experience in cyber security policy, governance, or capability uplift. Strategic thinking and alignment of cyber security initiatives with broader government policy. Experience tracking project progress, managing risks, and ensuring delivery within scope, timelines, and quality standards. Capability to conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies per compliance frameworks. Experience in project delivery, analysis, and recommendation development. Tertiary qualifications or formal accreditations in a related discipline. Strong communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Australian Citizen, able to attain NV1 security clearance, willing to undergo a police check.
