You’ll act as a vital strategic connector between our internal culture and external brand, ensuring consistent, compelling storytelling that amplifies MEGT’s purpose and values. Partnering closely with People & Capability, the CEO’s office, and business units, you will elevate the profile of MEGT’s leadership, support change management and cultural initiatives, and oversee media relations and executive communications. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development and execution of MEGT’s comprehensive internal and external communications strategy, aligned with business objectives and culture. Act as a trusted strategic advisor and collaborative partner to People & Capability, CEO’s office, Executive team, and business units, to shape and deliver communication strategies that support business growth, transformation, and a connected internal culture. Manage internal communications channels – including intranet, town halls, newsletters – to build engagement, foster connection, and strengthen MEGT’s values and Great Place to Work culture. Oversee media relations, crisis communications, speechwriting, content creation, and messaging for senior leadership. Elevate the profile of MEGT’s CEO and Executive team through proactive media engagement and strategic amplification. Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, local and national media outlets, and key industry influencers. Drive social media strategy and executive voice amplification, particularly on LinkedIn. Collaborate closely with marketing, production, and digital teams to deliver tactical communications support. Ensure governance, compliance, and risk management processes are integrated within communications activities. About you This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for writing and storytelling in a corporate environment. You have strong media networks and can juggle multiple priorities while working collaboratively within a small but highly supportive team. You bring: 7 years’ experience leading internal and external communications in large, complex organisations Proven expertise in media relations, crisis management, reputation building, and executive communication Exceptional writing, storytelling, and editing skills that engage diverse audiences with clarity and impact Strong strategic planning and project management skills, able to balance multiple initiatives and deadlines Experience partnering with Executive teams to align communications with organisational goals A genuine passion for fostering inclusive, engaged workplaces and amplifying executive leadership voices across media and social platforms Knowledge of government and industrial relations policy communication is advantageous A Communications Degree, related discipline, or relevant industry experience MEGT is committed to providing services that protect and keep children, young people and adults at risk free from harm as we have zero tolerance of racism, discrimination, harm, or abuse.
