Community Engagement Manager - Tasmania-wide

Job description Part-time (0.6 FTE, flexible) Based in Tasmania Are you passionate about connecting people with nature and empowering communities to protect Tasmania’s wild places? Wildcare Tasmania is a not-for-profit charity uniting over 1,500 members and volunteers dedicated to caring for Tasmania’s wild places, wildlife, and cultural heritage. Through our statewide network of Wildcare groups, we support people to protect and sustain our natural environment for future generations. We’re seeking a Community Engagement Manager to help deliver the goals of Wildcare’s Strategic Plan 2025–2027. This role nurtures our community of members, volunteers, and partners, ensuring Wildcare’s contribution to conservation is impactful, visible, and sustainable. You’ll: Support and mentor Wildcare group leaders Grow and engage our membership and volunteer network Build partnerships with land managers, donors, and stakeholders Create engaging internal and external communications and impact stories Help maintain our digital systems and reporting You’ll bring: Strong cultural leadership, community engagement and partnership skills, great communication, confidence with digital tools, and alignment with Wildcare’s values, including openness, collaboration, and inclusion. Experience in the not-for-profit or conservation sector is desirable.
