Location Profile The Director of Systems and Innovation is a key member of our Principal Class and Operations Team. This team is made up of the Founding Principal, 3 Directors (AP2), 13 Assistant Principals (AP1) and 2 Business Managers. This team has crucial responsibility for the management of significant areas and functions within our school. This reinforces our safe and orderly environment and allows for the ongoing effective operation, development, and continual improvement of programs and operations of Strathtulloh PS in a proactive, passionate and positive collaborative environment. Located on beautiful Wurundjeri Country, Strathtulloh Primary School has been educating with HEART since 2022. We are a brand-new state of the art school, located in the suburb of Strathtulloh. We opened in January 2022 with 710 students already growing to over 1400 students and employing over 170 staff in 2026. Our students are phenomenal and eager learners who are beautifully behaved and respectful. We are supported by families and a community who really value and support education and our school. School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) and Respectful Relationships (RR) feature strongly at our school, along with a culture that supports positive, proactive and passionate wellbeing and learning for students and staff. Highly developed skills and experience in leading and managing change including the leadership of others in the process of change. KSC 2 FINANCIAL, MANAGERIAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE ABILITY Outstanding financial, organisational and resource management skills. Outstanding demonstrated ability to plan and exceed deadlines and requirements. Highly developed demonstrated experience and skills in meeting all Department, VRQA and other organisation requirements in the establishment of a new educational setting. Role The assistant principal reports directly to the principal. Assistant principals have a primary responsibility for the management of significant areas or functions within the school to ensure the effective development, provision and evaluation of the school's education program. In exercising the responsibility, assistant principals will have the authority to make all significant decisions relating to the program, budget and staff relating to their area of designated responsibility within the framework of the school's strategic plan, policies and budget. Assistant principals will contribute to the overall management of the school through involvement in policy formulation and decision making. The management of significant school program or functional areas in schools involve assistant principals in the analysis of the needs of students and the translation of state educational policy and frameworks into appropriate education programs to meet the needs of all students. Typically assistant principals will be responsible for the effective use of the teaching staff and program budget of a defined area of the school's operation and for the oversight and leadership of the educational programs provided utilising these resources.
