Responsibilities Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a focus on oncology patients Patient population includes those receiving chemotherapy, diagnostic services, and symptom management for soft tissue malignancies Continuous cardiac monitoring required for chemotherapy administration Nurse to patient ratio is 1:4 Float required to units of equal or lower acuity Day and night shifts available (3x12 hour shifts) Uses B450 monitors, GE telemetry system, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds Epic EMR experience required Responsibilities include infection prevention, patient fall risk reduction, and management of comorbidities Strict adherence to Ohio fingerprinting requirements for credentialing is necessary and must be completed promptly after contract signing Former employees may return as travelers after a six month separation Current employees of Ohio State University hospital locations are ineligible for travel assignments All requested time off must be included at submission and built into the contract Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers Requirements Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required BCLS certification required Epic charting experience required Oncology experience preferred but not required Ability to interpret dysrhythmias, manage arterial lines, access ports, administer blood products, care for central and PICC lines, start IVs, assist with chest tube procedures, use high flow nasal cannula, and interpret ABGs Previous travel RN experience preferred Must provide two professional references, with at least one from a supervisor or manager Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-636018.
