Psychologist Sacred Heart Girls' College (see more jobs from this school) OAKLEIGH, VIC Admin / SSO / Non-Teaching Contract Type: Permanent/Ongoing Position Full Time Applications Close: 3 November 2025 Sacred Heart Girls' College is seeking an enthusiastic and committed professional to join the Education Support Team as Psychologist to commence 27 January 2026. The Psychologist/Counsellor is responsible for the provision of services relating to the wellbeing of the students. The Psychologist/Counsellor has a significant role that requires initiative, discretion, expertise and varying levels of confidentiality in dealing with matters of importance to the psychological and emotional wellbeing of students. They work to facilitate access, participation and to maximise educational outcomes for students, and, if qualified, to utilise psychological expertise in education and learning to support and build the capacity of the school community toward the same goals. The Psychologist/Counsellor must hold appropriate professional qualifications and maintain membership of a relevant professional body. They are expected to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of adolescent mental health and be able to work with families and staff to support the mental health and wellbeing of all students in our care. A commitment to the ethos, values and mission of Catholic Education and to the safety and wellbeing of children, along with a willingness to be involved in the life of Sacred Heart Girls’ College is required.
