Our Transmission and Distribution offering encompasses a diverse range of technical specialisations including Transmission Lines & Cables, Earthing & Electromagnetics studies, Civil/Structural solutions, Infrastructure power and High Voltage Substations. Here's what you'll need Jacobs is seeking an experienced Senior Associate Secondary & Protection Engineer to join our team. Our High Voltage Substation services support a wide range of clients, including utilities, independent power producers, industrial facilities, and government entities, helping them navigate the complexities of modern power systems and drive the transition towards a more resilient and sustainable energy infrastructure. Key areas of focus Protection and secondary design for distribution and transmission systems between 22kV and 500kV.Development of Protection engineering deliverables such as relay configuration files, setting reports, logic diagrams, signals list and secondary design.Lead projects, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.Mentor and develop engineers, growing our Substation Engineering capabilities.Perform engineering design reviews.Engage positively with clients as a trusted technical advisor and contribute to business development with the ability to work across geographies. What We Are Looking For Extensive experience in HV Secondary and Protection Electrical Engineering, from engineering consultancyProficiency in relay software (e.g., Enervista, PCM600, Digsi) and CAD software (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD).Exhibits positive communication skills and ability to work across geographies.Shows aptitude in anticipating business challenges and recommending improvements.Maintains awareness of industry developments and technical innovations (National Electricity Rules, AEMO Guidelines and Safety in Design).Current CPEng and NER registrations With safety and flexibility always top of mind, we’ve gone beyond traditional ways of working so you have the support, means and space to maximize your potential.
