This is a 36 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026 This position is only available to eligible staff currently employed by the Department of Education. WA College of Agriculture - Cunderdin School is seeking to establish a Level 3.3 Classroom Teaching role for appointment to a fixed term, full-time vacancy for 3 years. In accordance with the trial of this position, the principal at the applicant’s substantive work site will provide the right of return at the conclusion on the 3 year fixed-term vacancy. Priority is afforded to the back-filling of the successful applicant before their release to the Level 3.3 Classroom Teaching role. Only existing Level 3 Classroom Teachers who are currently employed by the Department of Education are eligible to apply. The increment for a Level 3.3 Classroom Teacher is at the new step 3.3. The Role In addition to their role as a classroom teacher, the Level 3.3 Classroom Teacher, in collaboration with the principal and members of the administrative team, will provide instructional leadership in the school that will focus on curriculum. This will include leading the development and delivery of Mathematics programs at both the Essentials and Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) level as well as leading the OLNA Numeracy support program. The role will also focus on cross curriculum collaboration, working with the Farm and Trades areas of the College to drive the utilisation of contextualised data within teaching programs and linking concepts with real world applications to enrich learning opportunities for students . Under the leadership of the principal, the suitable applicant will implement effective change strategies and provide leadership across the school community. Suitable applicants will facilitate workforce effectiveness and provide a role model for self-development to improve professional performance. The role is also responsible for establishing and managing administrative and operational systems in the relevant area of responsibility to ensure the effective operation of the school within departmental policy and guidelines. The Level 3.3 Classroom Teacher will work in a culturally responsive and context specific manner to productively and respectfully engage stakeholders. An outstanding ability to demonstrate innovative, bold and creative solutions and a proven track record in working collaboratively to solve complex problems, are essential to this position. Additionally, the role will include: classroom teaching – up to 0.9 FTE instructional leadership – additional minimum 0.1 FTE release time mentoring staff delivering professional learning providing feedback.
