Job Description
Shift Lead Technician Location: London Battersea Contract Type: Permanent Continental Shift Pattern Salary: £48,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) Private Healthcare Flexible Benefits We are seeking an experienced and proactive Shift Lead Technician to take ownership of service delivery for a key client in Battersea. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining strong technical expertise with effective team management and client engagement. Youll lead a team of Technicians to deliver outstanding service standards, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence at all times. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support a team of Technicians, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and performance. Oversee delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance in line with SLAs and KPIs. Conduct performance reviews and support staff development to maintain high technical standards. Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety policies, statutory regulations, and company procedures. Build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors through professional and proactive communication. Assist with fault finding, quoting, and supervision of small works and project activities. Maintain accurate compliance records and ensure all data is uploaded to internal service systems. Support financial reporting, planning, and ongoing service improvement initiatives. About You: Previous experience in a senior or lead engineering role, ideally as a Multi-Skilled Technician . Strong technical background across industrial, commercial, and domestic systems , with experience in PPMs aligned to SFG20 or equivalent standards. Excellent fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills. Capable of supervising and supporting both reactive repairs and small project works. Experience managing compliance documentation and working with CAFM/service management systems. Recognised technical qualification or completed industry apprenticeship (electrical or mechanical discipline). Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. A proactive and safety-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
