The Role Kinross College are ideally seeking a dynamic and passionate Information Computer Science Teacher to join our team, teaching students from Years 7 to 12 in alignment with the Western Australian Curriculum for Computer Science. This role would involve inspiring and equipping students with the skills and knowledge to thrive in the ever-evolving world of technology. Key Responsibilities: Teach Computer Science and digital technologies across Years 7-12, focusing on programming, data management, networking, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies. Develop engaging and innovative lesson plans aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum. Instruct students in software and hardware management, data compression, and the separation of content and presentation data. Guide students in acquiring, storing, and validating data, with an emphasis on privacy and security. Teach students to design, implement, and validate algorithms and interactive solutions using programming environments. Foster an understanding of the social, legal, and ethical implications of digital technologies. The successful applicant will ideally have: Experience in teaching programming languages, data structures, algorithms, and network systems. Familiarity with privacy and cybersecurity practices. Strong understanding of digital solutions, data analysis, and interactive systems. Formative assessment and data to inform teaching and improve student outcomes. Build respectful and productive relationships with students, staff, and families. Differentiate instruction to support individualised learning and extension. Integrate technology effectively into teaching practices; familiarity with Compass is desirable. What we are ideally looking for: A commitment to student-centred learning and wellbeing.
