Operations Manager

Operations Manager Cairns Love sport? Thrive on organised chaos (the fun kind)? We're looking for an energetic, proactive and community-minded Operations Manager to be the heart of Cairns Netball Association, working at our Martyn Street office alongside our existing staff. What you'll be doing: · Leading the daily operations of CNA with flair and focus · Supporting our amazing staff and volunteers to shine · Building competitions, programs and events that grow the game · Driving our strategic goals alongside the CNA Board, including the development and implementation of appropriate policies and governance frameworks · Managing budgets, funding, and sponsorships · Maintaining and improving our facilities · Building positive relationships with clubs, schools, councils, Netball QLD & more What you'll bring to the role: A minimum of 1-2 years of management experience is required for this position. Otherwise, we're looking for someone with a mix of qualifications and real-world experience. You might have: · Tertiary qualifications in Sport and Recreation Management, Business, Events, Community Development, or a related field · Equivalent experience in a similar management role, especially within a sporting or community organisation · Demonstrated experience with relevant technology platforms including Microsoft Office Suite, Xero, and CMS/membership registration systems · Proven success in managing operations, events, or programs · Experience with budgeting, financial management, and/or grant administration · Strong people leadership skills – managing staff and volunteers with positivity and purpose · Proven ability to work independently with initiative and personal drive · Demonstrated experience in marketing including social media Why you'll love working with us: · Flexible hours (3–5 days/week) to be negotiated · Be part of a fun, inclusive and passionate sporting community · Use your skills to create real change for women and girls in sport, and grow new markets like boys and men's netball · Work with great people in a dynamic, rewarding environment · a competitive salary, tailored to your qualifications and experience The successful candidate will need to hold or be eligible for a Queensland government Blue Card.
