Job Description Job Description Registered Dental Hygienist Job Summary Our dentistry practice is looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. You must have graduated from an accredited hygienist program and passed all of the necessary board exams. Experience in a dental office or clinic is a plus. In this position, you discuss any concerns the patient may have about their teeth and overall oral health and document them for the dentist's examination. You then take x-rays when necessary, thoroughly clean the patient's teeth using proper scaling and polishing techniques, administer fluoride, and teach the patient how to improve their dental hygiene habits. Registered Dental Hygienist Duties and Responsibilities Prepare patients for their exam Assess patients' current dental hygiene Take x-rays and other images when necessary Clean and polish teeth Administer fluoride Teach patients proper hygiene techniques Assist the dentist during the exam Registered Dental Hygienist Requirements and Qualifications Associate degree in dental hygiene Dental hygienist license Experience with patient care in a dental office Familiarity with Dentrix software Strong communication and interpersonal skills Expertise in brushing and flossing techniques Company Description Latham Dental Group offers quality dental care to keep your smile bright and your teeth healthy.
