Our in-house capabilities include: Control systems design and fabrication Mechanical systems and automation equipment Advanced manufacturing technologies: 3D printing Laser welding SMT & through-hole electronics Traditional mechanical and electrical fabrication and assembly Position Overview: We are seeking a Mechanical Designer or Engineer / SolidWorks Operator to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for a technically skilled, self-motivated team player who thrives in a dynamic environment focused on R&D and continuous product improvement. We value aptitude, attitude, hands-on experience, and a desire for continuous growth. Key Qualifications: College degree is a plus but not required Equivalent fabrication and SolidWorks experience may substitute for a degree Candidates with hands-on shop experience are highly favored Strong understanding of fabrication techniques , including: Sheet metal Machining processes Experience with equipment/mechanism or structural design is required Detail-oriented with the ability to create: Mechanical designs Drawings Assemblies 3D models Proficiency in SolidWorks is a plus Ideal Candidate Attributes: Team player with strong collaboration skills Positive, can-do attitude with a focus on progress and continuous improvement Strong work ethic and ability to manage tasks independently Responsive to technical requirements and able to prioritize effectively Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written Ability to document engineering details and processes (Word proficiency is a plus) Able to use or learn Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Preferred (Not Required) Skills: Previous automation experience Electrical, controls, or system design experience AutoCAD experience Benefits: 11 Paid Holidays Paid Time Off (PTO) Employer-subsidized pre-tax health insurance Optional pre-tax vision, dental, and other insurance plans SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with employer matching Company Description You can find out more about our company and some of the work we have done at www.trottercontrols.com.
