Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Proposal Engineer to join our innovative Proposals team. This role provides a key part in preparing bids for potential clients. Working with the sales and proposals manager to deliver bids on time meeting customers’ expectations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed technical and commercial proposals and ensuring that client specifications are met with precision. Duties Deliver commercial job winning bids by considering all aspects of technical and spec compliance, pricing and commercial offering in your bids. Be the driving force for collating all the information needed and championing the preparation and submission of your bid. Work with the sales engineers to ensure all customers’ expectations are met. Keep the project enquiry list up to date. Create a draft project plan and attend the project launch meetings to hand over the project to the project team. Stay informed about industry developments in mechanical knowledge, CAD techniques, and control systems to enhance proposal quality. Skills Excellent literacy and numerical skills with high attention to detail. Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers and customers. Organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Skills and Qualifications Graduate mechanical or process engineer 10 years experience of proposals work in a process/systems environment Salary - £55,000 to £65,000 per year Benefits 25 days annual leave bank holidays Salary sacrifice pension scheme for optional personal contributions Non-contributory company pension scheme EV chargers on site.
