Cloud Operations Team Leader - Milton Keynes (Hybrid) Salary: £70,000 - 80,000 My client are looking for a Cloud Operations Team Leader to manage their cloud environment, ensuring performance, availability, and security. You’ll lead a team of engineers, drive automation, enforce governance best practices, and support development teams through strong CI/CD infrastructure. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends strategy with execution. What you’ll do: Oversee daily cloud operations—monitoring, incident response, optimisation Lead and plan projects using Agile methods Implement cloud governance, security, and compliance policies Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, AI-first approach) Support development teams with CI/CD pipelines Manage cloud costs and performance using monitoring tools (FinOps) Mentor and develop cloud engineers What you’ll bring: 3 years’ hands-on AWS experience Strong IaC and configuration management skills (Terraform, Ansible, GitHub) Proven leadership of cross-functional teams and cloud projects Expertise in monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning Knowledge of cloud security, governance, and compliance best practices Experience with CI/CD workflows Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Nice to have: SQL Server, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, IIS/Nginx, Linux, IDS/IPS, PowerShell/Bash, RDS, serverless tech (AWS Lambda, ECS), and applied AI for IaC.
