Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering Location: Swindon (Office-based) Salary: Competitive Package We are working with a well-established civil engineering specialist who are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of key infrastructure projects and contribute to the continued success of a respected contractor. A strong civils background is essential, and experience in the water utilities sector is highly advantageous. Key Responsibilities: Take full commercial responsibility for allocated projects, including monthly cost reporting Manage and mentor junior members of the commercial team Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and the supply chain, including managing standard rate agreements Prepare and submit accurate valuations, supported by regular site visits Follow up on payments and keep senior management informed of any issues Price and agree project variations with clients and subcontractors, maintaining clear records Prepare contractual notices and administer subcontract conditions in line with company procedures Ensure timely and fair resolution of final accounts with clients and subcontractors Maintain well-organised commercial files (electronic and hard copy) Support pre-construction activities alongside the bid and contracts teams Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in a civils environment Strong knowledge of commercial and contractual management principles Excellent communication and negotiation skills Experience in the water utilities sector is desirable Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor junior team members effectively What’s on Offer: Company car Company pension Private medical insurance Enhanced maternity and paternity leave Cycle to work scheme Paid volunteer time Sick pay Store discounts Apply now or get in touch for a confidential conversation.
