Mechanical Inspector

RINA is looking for experienced Mechanical Engineer to perform inspection activities on behalf of RINA for our esteemed clients in the UK. Requested : The inspector must have experience inspecting umbilicals, electrical cables, and offshore equipment. Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g., API 17E) and project specifications is required. Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems is essential. Experience in offshore or subsea environments is preferred. Mechanical Degree ( Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Welding Engineering or graduate from high school in relevant branches) / certificates such as NDT, welding, coating, etc. Experience as an Offshore Inspector (min. 3 years); Inspectors should have inspection experience at the vendor’s premises. Experience may cover daily inspections or short term/long term project inspections on behalf of clients or third party inspections; Ability to prepare daily/weekly inspection reports; Adequate level of English for reporting, understanding international standards/codes, and communicating with clients in case of need; Being a freelancer inspector or part of inspectors agency/society, the inspector or the company should be able to invoice the service; Location: Dunfermline, Scotland, United Kingdom Please note, we can only consider residents in the UK for this position Period: 12/1/2025 - 5/31/2027 (Resident) Contract: To Freelancer or to Inspector agencies, for ad hoc activities If you have the requested experience and if you are interested, please apply in LinkedIn or send your English CV to xuerui.iang@rina.org
