ER RN Job Details – Columbus, OH Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs) Setting: Oncology Pod – Emergency Department Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN) Start Date: December 1, 2025 End Date: March 2, 2026 Contract Length: 13 weeks Shifts: 12-hour rotating shifts (Day: 07:00–19:30, Night: 19:00–07:30); 3 shifts/week Weekly Hours: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1720–$1770 Patient Ratio: 1:4 Unit Size: 19 beds, 15 rooms Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics Interdisciplinary Support: Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact or Ohio state RN license required at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) RN experience Oncology nursing experience preferred Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting system Required certifications: BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Skilled in IV starts and telemetry monitoring Ability to float to other units as needed Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required Submission of requested time off (RTO) required at application Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or charge RN) ER RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to oncology and general emergency patients Perform triage, assessment, and rapid interventions in a fast-paced emergency department Start and maintain IVs, administer blood products, and manage central lines Monitor and interpret telemetry, arterial blood gases (ABGs), and cardiac dysrhythmias Administer IV vasopressors and care for ventilated patients as needed Implement isolation precautions and infection control protocols Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members for comprehensive patient care Accurately document all patient care activities in the EPIC system Float to other nursing units as required based on staffing needs Take the next step in your nursing career with this travel ER RN job in Columbus, Ohio—a city renowned for its healthcare opportunities, arts scene, and welcoming neighborhoods.
