Senior Data Engineer Salary: Up to £70,000 Location: Trowbridge - near Bristol (2 days per week) About the Company/Role A long-established multinational organisation in the food sector is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their data infrastructure function. The business serves hundreds of customers with data-rich operations. You’ll play a key role in managing and improving the data infrastructure, working with Azure and Databricks to ensure data quality, consistency, and availability across the organisation. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and enhance data infrastructure to ensure reliability, consistency, and scalability. Support deployment of data models in Databricks and PySpark . Work with data validation, ETL processes, and cross-functional datasets. Lead internal development requirements, supporting analysts and data teams. Mentor and oversee junior team members (graduate/apprentice) - but this role is more technical than managerial. REQUIREMENTS Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets. Hands-on experience with Azure and Databricks . Background in consumer services, insurance, or similar data-rich industries desirable. Interview Process Technical test.
