Production Technician

CRFS designs and builds world-leading RF spectrum monitoring and geolocation systems used by defence, security, and regulatory organisations across the globe. We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable Electronics Production Technician to join our friendly production team in Cambridge. You’ll help assemble, test, and inspect high-quality electronic systems that support critical real-world missions — from detecting rogue signals to protecting national security. This is a practical, workshop-based role where precision, care, and teamwork matter more than formal qualifications. What You’ll Do Assemble electronic and mechanical parts into finished units following clear build instructions. Carry out basic testing and inspection to make sure everything works as it should. Keep accurate notes of what you’ve built and any issues found. Work with your team leader to meet daily and weekly build targets. Help keep the workspace organised, safe, and efficient. What We’re Looking For Some hands-on experience in electronics, manufacturing, or assembly work (at home, college, or in a job). Comfortable using basic tools and following step-by-step build or wiring instructions. Good attention to detail — you take pride in doing things properly. A team player who’s reliable, punctual, and easy to work with. Keen to learn new skills and grow your technical experience.
