IT Internal Project Specialist

We’re hiring an IT Internal Project Specialist for a hybrid role based in Saint-Laurent, Montreal. This position offers a dynamic mix of technical infrastructure work and hands-on project coordination, with a salary range of $70K–$75K and occasional travel across Québec (3–5 days per month). What you will be doing This position combines hands-on technical work with IT project coordination . You’ll collaborate directly with technical teams to plan, execute, and deliver infrastructure projects that keep the organization’s systems running efficiently and securely. Contribute to small- to mid-size IT projects including system upgrades, hardware rollouts, and network implementations Coordinate and support installations of servers, cabling, cameras, door access systems, and networking equipment Work closely with contractors, help desk, and network teams to ensure project timelines and technical standards are met Document procedures, create project plans, and monitor deliverables Travel to various Québec sites for on-site coordination and installation work (all travel, lodging, and meals covered) Grow your technical and project management skills with mentorship from senior IT leadership What we are looking for We’re seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented IT professional who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and learning in a dynamic environment. 3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure or technical support Strong understanding of: Windows Server environments and Microsoft 365 Networking (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, OSI model, VPNs, switches, routers, firewalls) Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) Structured cabling, camera systems, or access control (asset) Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills Fluent in English with functional French Willing and able to travel monthly for short on-site missions (typically 3–5 days per month) Qualifications College diploma or degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related discipline Proven experience assisting or leading infrastructure projects Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Ability to travel within Québec About ExperTech Connecting talent with employers of choice for over 30 years, ExperTech is a leading staffing and recruiting firm across Canada and the USA.
